Greetings!
After school enrichment programs have flourished in Southern California for
the past 16 years and I have had the privilege and pleasure of working in
the field since its beginnings. What began in 1986 as a karate class in a
small school in the San Fernando Valley has blossomed into a company with
over 75 on-site after school programs serving over 6,000 students per year.
In public, private, charter and parochial schools, Anderson Enrichment
Opportunities has created the model for quality and fun in the after school
arena.
My work encompasses consulting with major school districts and developing
after school enrichment programs in diverse fields of study. I also teach
two to three times per week in local after school programs. I do this
because I love teaching. I also do it because it gives me a handle on
students' changing interests. One thing is constant, however --children's
needs. Students require different types of learning experiences in order to
achieve their full potential. After school enrichment affords opportunities
the regular school day often fails to provide.
